Urban River Advocates Forum

Green Futures and the Riverways Urban Rivers Program, part of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, host this 4th annual forum. The goals of the forum are to revitalize urban rivers and communities, create greenways along rivers, prioritize open space, educate communities about public health issues relating to rivers, use environmental justice as a tool for urban rivers and implement strategies for change.

The Livable City (or Sustainable City) Forums

These grass-roots forums provide Fall River residents with an opportunity to envision what they wish their city to become during the next half-century. Average citizens are able to discuss pertinent issues, shaping the future of their hometown. Many of the suggestions and ideas generated by these forums have come to fruition or are in the process of being realized.
